History/Overview
For nearly a quarter century, the Audi TT has been one of the auto industry’s most enduring car designs. Coupe or convertible, the TT’s overall look has changed little, with Audi simply updating details without cluttering up its lovely shape.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2022, the Audi TT gains some new standard features, and comes with a not-insignificant price increase.
Available Trims
The TT Coupe comes in a single trim powered by a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine, a seven-speed transmission, and AWD. A high-performance TTS is covered in a separate buyer’s guide entry.
Standard Features
New this year, the base TT coupe comes with LED headlights and taillights, and a Bang & Olufsen stereo. Also included are 19-inch wheels, auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, passive keyless entry, two-zone A/C, heated/power-adjustable sport seats in Nappa leather, navigation, digital gauges, blind spot monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.
Key Options
A sport package brings 20-inch wheels, an upgraded gauge display, black exterior trim, red brake calipers, and Alcantara/leather upholstery.
A new-for-2022 Bronze package also sports 20-inch wheels, but adds bronze-coloured trim inside and out, and an extended leather interior with Nappa and copper stitching.
Fuel Economy
The Audi TT’s fuel consumption estimates are 10.5/7.9 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
If you’ve got the TT on your shopping list, it should also include the Porsche 718 Boxster and the BMW Z4, and you might also want to consider Nissan’s forthcoming Z400.
